Short description

Wardsong is a cross-platform mobile MMORPG set in Hallowshire: eight classes, cooperative combo combat, group bosses and a kingdom slowly waking to what sleeps beneath it. Alpha in development.

Long description

Wardsong is a cross-platform mobile MMORPG set in Hallowshire, a quiet farming kingdom whose ordinary troubles — rats, wolves, a fouled river — turn out to be symptoms of something ancient waking beneath it. Players arrive to solve village problems and end up rediscovering the last working pieces of a warding system nobody remembers building.

The design centre is cooperative combo combat across 8 classes that set up and consume each other's effects, resolved by an authoritative server so a dropped mobile connection never decides a boss fight. Progress lives on the server, the world is a single shard, and sessions are built to fit the length of a commute.

Design pillars

  • Combos are the fight. One class opens the fight. Another finishes it. The kits are built so a party hits harder than four people alone.
  • A session that fits the day. Take a quest, craft a piece, or face a boss. Progress sticks, and the road is still there when you come back.
  • One realm. Bosses, guilds, trade, and mail are shared. The people you meet in Hallowshire are on your world.
  • A character you keep. Gear, professions, and skills stay on your account. What you build is yours on every client still to come.
