The site is up, and so is the paperwork

Wardsong now has a public home, a devlog, a live status page, and the legal documents an EU-facing online game actually needs before it takes its first euro.

Wardsong has been in development for a while without anywhere to point people. That changes today: this is the game’s public home, and it will grow tabs as the systems behind them become real.

What is here now

  • The game overview — what Wardsong is, the eight-class roster, and where the project actually stands. No release date, because we do not have an honest one.
  • Server status — a live probe of the game API, world database and realtime service, checked from your own browser rather than from a dashboard we control.
  • The legal documents — Terms, Privacy Policy, EULA, Cookie Policy, refund rules and the Code of Conduct.
  • This devlog — where builds, wipes and balance passes get explained.

What is coming

The Armory and Wiki tabs are stubs on purpose. Both are meant to be generated from live game data rather than maintained by hand, which means they wait for a read-only public data API. The nav shows them greyed out rather than hiding them, because the URL structure is already decided and we would rather be transparent about what is a plan and what is a page.

An online game with accounts, chat, purchases and optional ads is a data controller whether or not anyone has written it down. Writing it down first — what we store, why we are allowed to, who else sees it, how long we keep it — turned out to be a useful audit of the backend rather than just a compliance chore. It also produced a to-do list: the retention limits the Privacy Policy states are the ones the server now has to enforce, and a few of those jobs still have to be built.

The documents are marked as unreviewed drafts until a lawyer has been over them. That banner comes off before the alpha opens to anyone outside the invite list.
